Running a large event can be difficult but with the right means of communication things can run that bit smooth.
Communications between staff and outside assistance is one of the most important parts of a successful event.
The Emergency Preparedness Program Consultants Inc. Division of Communications can help. Our Communications
Unit has the skill, equipment and training to make any event run smoother.
What can EPPC do for you? We can provide you and your staff with light weight hand held two way radios,
cellular phone communications, HAM radio communications and event a Mobil emergency communications station
that will be on scene at your event.
EPPC can provide you with the following services:
Hand Held Radios:
Hand held radios are the most effective way to communicate between a large group of people quickly. Radios are
hand held and come with a belt clip, extension microphones and extra batteries. We can provide you with a large
or small number of radios and the staff to train you with how to use them
Mobil Radios:
When you have a vehicle that will need to be utilized during operations mobile radios will be the most effective way
to communicate. We will install the radios in your vehicles. This will give the operator better and longer range.
HAM Radios:
HAM radios are a type of radio that requires a licence for the Federal Communications Commission. EPPC can
provide you with the licenced operators and equipment needed. HAM radios give you unlimited range and the ability
to talk to anyone.
Cell Phone Communications:
Cell phones are a very common item, however sometimes people don't want to use their own phone or do not
have one to use. We will provide you with the phone and airtime.
Mobil Communications Center:
Our mobile communications center has the ability to run operations. We provide you with a fully equipped enclosed
location with tables and all the equipment needed to keep your key staff dry and in control.
EPPC Center Dispatch Center:
The EPPC Center Dispatch center is equipped with UHF, VHF and HAM radios as well as emergency phones and
Internet communications. When your event is being handled by EPPC we will monitor all current emergency traffic
and weather issues including storms in the area. Our communications center is equipped with the most advanced
hurricane and weather tracking programs. We use the same hurricane and weather program that the local news
use. You get all this at no additional charge.
