Q: How old do I have to be to attend this event?
A: There is no age limit, As long as you are a Boy Scout we have badges for older
and younger scouts.
Q: Can a troop bring Weblows to this event?
A: Troops may bring Weblows to this event, and they can spend the night with your
troop. They can attend First Aid Merit Badge or Fire Safety Merit Badge. They will
need all requier paperwork and equipment.
Q: Will there be a drill for all scout this year?
A: No there will not be a big drill for the hole camp this year. Only scouts do E-Prep
will partipate in the mock drill.
Q: How many merit badges can i earn during the weekend?
A: Scouts can pick one merit badge to earn during the event. Some badges require
that you have completed prerequsits in order to get a completed merit badge.

Emergency Preparedness Weekend 2009 will be held at Camp Norse in Kingston
Massachusetts. This weekend will be a bit different then in years past. We will be
offering not only E-Prep Merit Badge but First Aid, Communications, Safety, Fire
Safety and Law Enforcement Merit Badges. Troops will needed to submit there
rosters no later then ******** so that they can assure that there scouts get the course
that have chosen. We have limited room in each course and spots will be filled on a
first come first serve basis.
We will be have many demos, guest speaker and static displays. There is a list below
for your viewing. Troop can register one of two way. We have an online registration
form and a mail in form that can be downloaded or if you call it can be snail mailed to
you. If you have any questions or need more information please check our the FAQ
below if you cant find your answer please don't hesitate to phone or email us.
Troops planning to attend are required to have medical forms, permission slips and
rosters in to EPPC at check in. No forms not admission will be allowed. This event will
have demonstrations that could be dangerous if instructions are not followed. Scout
that do not have a permission slip and have check the "Agree to the rules and
regulations" box will not be allowed to attend the event for the weekend.
A proportion of the weekends profits will be donated to the Make A wish Foundation in honor of
Mathew McCue. Matt was an Eagle Scout with Mansfield Troop 51. He lost his life at the early age
of 20 when he lost a long and courageous battle with Cancer. In 2004 Matt was a member of the
Emergency Preparedness Weekend staff. His dedication and love for scouting is missed. A
dedication ceremonies will be held on Saturday Night.
